I had the honor of serving as the FX Supervisor on a groundbreaking project for Apple TV and the Jane Goodall Institute, which was recently awarded the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Visual Effects for a Live Action Program. Leading a team of five exceptionally talented FX artists at Sinking Ship Entertainment, we were tasked with creating a series of intricate visual effects that brought the natural world to life. The focus of our work was on seamlessly integrating CG animals into their environments, a challenge that required meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of natural elements.
Our efforts spanned a wide range of environmental effects, including water, mud, snow, dust, cloud volumes, a swarm of krill, and the Amazon river vegetation. Each element had to be carefully crafted to ensure it interacted realistically with the CG animals and their surroundings.

The result was a visually stunning series that not only captivated audiences but also honored the real-world work of the Jane Goodall Institute. This project was a testament to the power of visual effects in storytelling and the incredible talent and dedication of the team behind it.
